Staff help raise £2,000 for air ambulance charity
A WARNERS Midlands charity barbecue has raised £2,000 for Lincs Air Ambulance, its chosen charity for 2009.
Staff and their families enjoyed the afternoon held at the company’s premises in Bourne, Lincolnshire, in July.
Raffle prizes won by various attendees included a private car parking space for a year, gift vouchers and three days paid holiday.
Human resources and Scheduling Manager Mark Lynch said: “A huge thank you goes to everyone who made a donation towards this total and to all those people who supported the event by attending or helping with the organisation of the night.”
The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance is a dedicated medical air service that first began operations in April 1994.
Based at RAF Waddington, south of Lincoln, and unaffected by road congestion, country roads, heavy vehicles or road works, the helicopter can reach any destination in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire in 19 minutes.
