Paper prices very likely to rise.
2016 has certainly proved to be a year of change for the world. Sadly some of this change has led to conditions where the UK market will likely be facing an increase in paper prices.
The paper we use at Warners is sourced from Europe and the principal reason for the suppliers decision to raise prices is due to the current exchange rate. Whilst this will undoubtedly have an effect on all printed products it is impossible to say with absolute certainty what the degree of change will be. Every individual printed publication will find the overall price of the job growing in the coming months. The price increase will only be for the paper itself. The other remaining costs will stay the same.
At Warners in an effort to minimize the effect of the changes in paper prices we are researching potential cost reducing changes or suggestions for our customers. For those customers looking to place work next year it may prove beneficial to take this price rise as a certainty. It is a case of prepare for the worst but hope for the best.
When we know what the exact change to paper prices will be we will notify all of our customers and help accordingly.
